Why would a professional organizer such as myself care so much about exercise to tell you about the benefits to exercise? Well, if I didn’t workout on a regular basis, I can tell you that I’d accomplish nothing! I know because after the birth of my fourth child I wasn’t able to workout for a good six months, and although I had a beautiful new baby to love and take care of, I felt really bad physically, emotionally, and spiritually for those six months. No, it wasn’t post-partum depression, I could not workout because of medical restrictions of having three c-sections over the past three years and my body just needed extra time to recover. So, knowing what working out regularly feels like and what not workout regularly feels like, I can tell you that being consistent with exercise will definitely give you the stamina and energy to accomplish all that you need to and so much more. Exercise not only gives needed energy, but it provides us with a laser-like focus to accomplish all of our life goals. Now, as we’re all so busy and over-scheduled, doesn’t mean we too can’t reap the benefits to exercise if we don’t have an hour at a stretch to workout. Knowing this, and now knowing the benefits to exercise, it’s imperative to learn some simple tricks to squeeze in a few ten minute workouts everyday, and then you’re workout will be done for the day!
There’s a variety of things to learn and know about the benefits to exercise. There are basic work out tips such as warming up correctly, how to strength train, and cooling down properly. Including a stretching workout in your fitness routine too to remain limber while creating a long lean look to the body all while avoiding injury by keeping muscles supple. There’s also a variety of ways to get and stay fit such as walking for exercise, which if done correctly and at the right intensity, is one of the best exercises you can do to slim down. There’s some great ‘exercise shoes’ that claim to give you a ‘workout’ while you walk, and I can say they do tone your legs.
To keep variety in your exercise routine, use some of the ‘old-time’ favorite pieces of exercise equipment such as a medicine ball and kettlebells. These ‘old-school’ pieces of exercise equipment add just enough variety to your regular workout routine to really help you see fast results and a new slimmed down physique. Keep a small four pound medicine ball in your office to add some shoulder presses while doing some lunges on your lunch hour. How about getting some serious ‘glute’ work in on your lunch too with squats with a kettlebell? And, don’t forget the cardio exercises. One of the benefits to exercise is the release of mood enhancing endorphins and there’s no better way to get those endorphins flowing than some good old cardio exercises. This can be as simple as a walking workout, bouncing on a rebounder combined with some jumping jacks, running on a treadmill, riding a stationary bike, etc.
The benefits to exercise are numerous, and you’ll see great results once you adopt regular exercise as part of your daily health routine. Think of exercise as a necessary part of your daily routine, just like bathing and brushing your teeth. Take some time for yourself each morning and start the day with an hour of strength training. You’ll be amazed at what you can get done during the day once you complete your workout. You’ll find that you have more stamina and energy, and you’ll be motivated to stay on task and get things done. Truly, the benefits to exercise extend to all aspects of life.
